Last Updated: 23rd AUG 2025
1. Purpose
This policy explains how [Site Name] moderates user-generated content (“User Content”), handles disputes, and processes takedown requests. Our goal is to maintain an open platform while ensuring posts comply with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and applicable laws.
2. General Principles
Neutrality: [Site Name] does not take sides in disputes between posters and the subjects of posts.
Free Expression: We encourage users to share truthful, first-hand experiences and opinions.
No Prior Restraint: Posts are not pre-approved before publication unless flagged by automated filters for review.
Evidence Encouraged: While we don’t require proof for every submission, evidence strengthens credibility and can help resolve disputes.
3. Types of Content Subject to Removal
We may remove or edit content at our sole discretion if it:
Contains hate speech or threats of violence
Is pornographic or depicts sexual activity involving minors
Discloses personal identifying information (addresses, phone numbers, SSNs) without consent
Contains false claims presented as fact with malicious intent
Violates copyright or other intellectual property rights
Is clearly spam, promotional, or irrelevant to the category
4. Moderation Process
Automated Filtering
New submissions are scanned for prohibited keywords, slurs, and sensitive personal data.
Posts flagged by the system are held for manual review before going live.
User Flagging
Any user may flag a post as false, offensive, or violating the Terms of Service.
Flagged posts are reviewed by moderators within 72 hours.
Moderator Review
Moderators assess the flagged content for compliance.
If content violates policy, it may be:
Edited to remove violating sections
Fully removed from public view
Kept as-is with no changes
5. Dispute & Response Policy
Right to Respond: Individuals or businesses named in a report may submit a response via our Dispute Form.
Public Response: Responses are published alongside the original report for context.
Request for Review: Subjects may request a moderator review if they believe the post is false or violates our policy.
Resolution Outcomes:
Content remains published (with or without edits)
Content is updated to reflect new information
Content is removed entirely
6. Takedown Requests
Legal takedown requests (defamation, privacy, copyright, etc.) must be submitted through our Legal Request Form.
Requests must include:
The exact URL of the content
The reason for the takedown
Supporting documentation or evidence
We review all requests in good faith and respond within 10 business days.
7. Repeat Offenders
Users who repeatedly submit content that violates this policy may have their account suspended or banned.
8. Recordkeeping
We maintain internal logs of:
All flagged content

Correspondence related to disputes and takedown requests
These records are kept for a minimum of one year.
9. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated at any time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes agreement to the revised policy.
